I thought that there was a real improvement in Oxfords game. He looked much stronger and very sharp. Wouldn't be surprised to see him as a first choice starter by Christmas.

Well call me a soppy old sod but just before the team came out got me really emotional especially singing bubbles. Shame there were no away fans. Recon the east side will create the most noise as it's awesome and just a shame there has to be the first couple of rows. How would the be able to incerase capacity to 67:000 and then on to 120:000.

Really enjoyed last night, it felt very strange, but looking forward we will make it our home.

I found walking outside the Stadium, alot of senior supervisiors were encouraging all staff to say, Welcome to West Ham - hope you enjoy your evening...felt a bit fake.

Where will the aways fans be sitting or PL games? Obviously couldn't tell last night, with the huge contingent from Slovenia?

West Ham co chairman David Gold admitted exclusively to ClaretandHugh this morning: “I lost it when I walked out into the stadium last night.

“Beyond personal issues such as the birth of children and the like, walking into that cauldron of sound and hearing our amazing fans singing ‘Bubbles’ was the most emotional moment of my life. I lost it.

“We came from the dining area onto the concourse and I lost it. I can’t describe my feelings. I though I was a tough old nut but I became a great big softy. It was stunning and unforgettable.”

Gold believes the club has “nailed it” and the match result showd that the players too have made an immediate adjustment to a stadium which could hardly be any different to the Boleyn.

Gold said:: “Everything is larger than life. It’s like a llife event awaits us all on every match day. It can only be likened, as you approach the stadium, to walking down Wembley Way.

“It has been worth all the struggle and the jumping through hoops and over hurdles. We have arrived at an extraordinary level and I feel immensely proud.”

Randolph 7 - a couple of good saves,distribution was a bit poor especially his kicking.

Antonio 6 for defending 7 for attacking, lost and gave the ball away cheaply,silly yellow. Great going forward as we all know. Always a threat.

Reid 6 - not confident bringing the ball out, strong defensive.

Oxford 8 - some great challenges and better distribution than Reid,won several important challenges in the air,not worried by the occasion.

Byram 7 - did what he had to do, stopped crosses from coming in from the right. Poor distribution but got better in the 2nd half.

Nordtveit 6 - decent performance thought we might see a power blast,didn't get forward enough. Unlike some wasn't hugely impressed considering who we were playing. Don't like this midfield 3 concept.

Kouyate 8 - two great goals,a bit quiet defensively in the first half,maybe a bit confused with this midfield 3. Some brilliant second half lung busting runs that almost led to a couple of goals

Noble 7 - some neat touches,but seemed a bit confused with this midfield 3,calmed things down and a captains role. Didn't get forward enough. Great ball for Ferghouli's goal

Ferghouli 7 - great pace,not able to create much down the flank. Had a couple of easier chances to score before he put away the hardest one. Will stand him in good sted.

Valencia 6 - showed some great skill and pace but should of scored with several chances.Early distribution and thinking was poor. Great effort though on many occasions .

Carroll 6 - great touch for Kouyate's goal.Had a bit of a ding dong with the Domzale defenders. Had a decent effort with his right peg which if it had been his left would of hit the target

Overall the win we needed.
Byram needs time on the right flank as Antonio is not good enough defensively with him there. We miss Antonio's edge when heisn't further forward.
The 3 in central midfield doesn't work as our attacking guile is less formidable.
Who Bilic picks is going to be a tough call.
Would of liked to have seen Page and Fletcher once the third went in.

My biggest concern would be how they segregate the supporters after the game? It felt like everyone was being filtered towards the train station, and with the idiots holding up STOP/GO signs, this is going to cause problems. Thousands of fans pushed together in one area is not a good idea. The people at the front stop, but the people behind still keep moving forward. I heard a lot of moaning about it last night!!

Thats a fair way to look at it PD and Sold

It is a magnificent stadium and everything about last night screamed 'next level' in terms of a club and where we our heading

But i couldnt help think at the moment i would rather of stayed at UP and had that developed. Hoping im proved wrong over the season.

I believe football should be watched in dilapidated death traps, so it wasn't for me last night and made me think that I personally made the right decision of giving up my season ticket when we won the stadium.

Some will love it I'm sure, but I hated it and yeah the sight lines are good, but the Newcastle away end is the only one I can think of that is as far away from the pitch.

I think the Emirates stadium is the closest PL ground to us now. Not too sure it's the closest per se

I got up to watch this but the streams were so fucking shit, i went back to bed, highlights were good, job done, also enjoyed seeing the new stadium, will look forward to seeing a game there and very please most feedback is positive
